Jazz Concert!!

7 PM! Doors open at 6:45

The Red Springs Arts Council welcomes Dr. Ron McCurdy and company for a fantastic, multimedia performance of Langston Hughes' kaleidoscopic suite "Ask Your Mama:12 Moods for Jazz." Enjoy a wonderful evening of music, spoken word and imagery. With an opening performance by the UNC Pembroke Jazz Combo!


Ron McCurdy has worked with jazz greats such as Wynton Marsalis, Joe Williams, Lionel Hampton, Leslie Uggams, Dr. Billy Taylor, Ramsey Lewis, Mercer Ellington & Maynard Ferguson! See more about Ron McCurdy here!

All are welcome! Bring a friend! The concert is free and open to the public. This event is funded in part by a Grassroots Arts Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council and is co-sponsored by the Red Springs Arts Council, the Ramada Inn of Lumberton and the Beta Nu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi of Robeson and Scotland Counties.
